In my last post, I told you that I was going to conclude but if Paul the apostle could say ‘Finally my brethren’ a few times then keeping in line with scripture, I am at liberty to do the same ;c)
Carlton Pearson was on Dateline MSNBC a few years ago stating that he heard a new revelation from God and some of the things he said were startling.
Among them was:

Hell doesn’t exist in the way the church has taught and that all people will eventually be reunited with god.

The whole world is redeemed but we are just not aware
-
God will have to send some people to hell, but he will not leave them there
-
Hell is not a destination but a detour; a long-way-round road some people must take before they will reach God

Below is one of the scriptures that Carlton uses to justify the gospel of inclusion
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. (2 Cor 5:18-19)
So in a nutshell, he is saying that God will not count any of anybodys sins against them. OK so lets throw out the rest of the scriptures that so clearly talk about the wrath of God that will come upon those who reject Christ.

On the interview, Tim Dillinger was talking about a woman called Teri Desario. Below are the lyrics to a gospel of inclusion song Teri sang back in 1983 that Tim and Carlton were fully supporting and were excited about

I am wary of those on both sides of the table. Jesus made clear there will be a judgment. On one side, people are dying to figure out who is “in” and who is “out” while forgetting that this is Jesus’ job. The other side is trying to hard to theologically prove that everybody is “in” that they have forgotten that Jesus really will in fact judge the world. In all of this, I think we have forgotten the imminency of Christ, and that he will really will return, and that he really will be the messiah for the world.
If anyone would read the Bible for themselves, they would find that Jesus is so concerned about us going to hell that He repeatedly warns us of it.
And these false teachers are telling people that hell is something else?!
Hell is REAL, it’s SCARY, and it’s NOT a place anyone would want to be. It was not made for us, but the fallen angels, so think of the wrath poured out on it!!!

I will repeat one of my comments.
Rev 6: 9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
These are the martyrs. If they just died and went to the grave, how did they know they were killed and how did they remember? How can they cry out to God?
I don’t know. The interpretations of the afterlife are many,though.(If I re-call correctly) A friend of mine who I believe was a non-believer at the time claimed that when undergoing surgery,he experienced a period of nothingness and later came back. When he became conscious, the doctors told him that he had been dead for 5 minutes. Could he be telling an untruth, yes,but when I was trying to share my faith, he was quite serious about his experience. This is different from what I’ve heard from another family member about one of her friends having some out of body experience during surgery.
Aside from personal experiences, the differences in the afterlife in different religions are apparent as well. It’s often argued that the ancient Hebrews had a different concept of Hell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell) from that of many types of Christianity (depending on your denomination).
With such differences, I’m skeptical and open to various interpretations. Please don’t take offense if I don’t throw scriptures your way. I feel that there’s a lot being missed by only referring to the Bible (I’m not trying to knock it, however).
