John MacArthur is the man. Some of my friends were actually talking today about the blurred distinction between final judgment and voicing accountability. There is a huge difference that needs to be recognized. I’ll definitely share this with them and others. Thanks, Alan. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for this, I did a class on this at my church and one lady nearly took out her boxing gloves and wanted to charge the pulpit. I told her that the verse was taken waaaay out of context and that we actually can judge! I will post and link this to my site

there is nothing wrong with being open and accountable but some posters seem to hold j.macarthur in high esteem,the same way that some members of the body of CHRIST hold some leaders of the charismatic church.there is nothing wrong with honour where honour is due but where do you distinguish whos honourable.i hold benny hinn,rodney howard brown ,john arnott in high esteem as well as r.c.sproul,chuck missler and various other christian leaders and teachers.does this mean if i hold a particular view or stance in what i believe ,then if some people do not agree with me then thy are false teachers and prophets.as i have said before we believe that the bible is the word ofGOD and i believe i can do what HE says i can do.j macarthur is an honourable man of GOD however i have heard of him attacking other christians who might disagree with him.are we all perfect NO but again it seems that its an age old problem of doctrine.please read about j knox,wessley,whitfield spurgeon who all had to change there doctrine.im not criticising but do we all agree on the foundational teachings of the bible or has it become the other helper JESUS spoke about.dont get me wrong here im not putting down the WORD OF GOD its our instruction manual im just trying to get a handle on why there has to be so much division and arguing.how are we saved,how do weget saved,what did JESUS tell us to do,argue about doctrine or reach the lost.
p.s. when we see conversions we let the people decide in our small town which church they want to go to.the presbyterians,anglican and pentecostal ministers work together leaving there differences at the door.what does the bible say about brothers being in harmony and what happens when we get unity.

My answer is i check out what a persons says and line it up with scripture like the Bereans( Acts 17:11)
Yes we are to reach the lost but we are also told to contend (defend) the faith. The truth will divide and will not unite. I have not personally heard John Macarthur attack other christians but I have heard him defend the faith

John MacArthur is not “attacking other Christians.He is exposing the heretical teachings of self appointed leaders,preachers and teachers.He is doing this to protect us from the terrible harm inflicted by false teachings.I was once in a cult,and I can assure you that heresy can leave spiritual damage and scars for the rest of your life. Some of the people who he has exposed are not Christians at all.They are charlatans,wolves in sheeps clothing,out to devour the flock.They decieve Christians and take their money.We as believers tend to be too trusting,and a bit naive.Conmen take advantage of that,to exalt themselves and become multi millionaires. MacArthur is not always right,but I truly believe his heart is in the right place.He is on our side,Christians.I have great respect for him.
