I believe you are going by your emotions over the word

actually sir, according to Peter Baptism does save us, and he preached it ...

1Pe 3:20 ... in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by WATER.
3:21 The like figure whereunto even BAPTISM doth also now SAVE US (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Not the putting away of the filth of the flesh...

Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:

Now I ask you a question...

Mar 11:30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

Mat 21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness...

Mar 1:4 ...did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Luk 7:29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, JUSTIFIED GOD, being baptized with the baptism of John.
7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers REJECTED THE COUNSEL OF GOD against themselves, being not baptized of him.

I am not saying that baptism is not a commandment and should be an automatic response after a person has repented and put their trust in Christ for their salvation. All I am saying is the actual act doesnt save anybody. If a person repented and put their trust in Christ on their deathbed and died without being baptised, are you saying that they would be lost?

I agree with Steve and Ben, nobody has refuted the scripture he has given, He speaks the oracles of God

I saw this scripture quoted...

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Look a bit before that, It speaks about baptism

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath QUICKENED us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:6 And hath RAISED us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Parallel Scriptures

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are RISEN with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he QUICKENED together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

quickened and risen with him agreeing with Ephesians

Even Cornelius was told by the angel that peter would what?

Act 11:14 ..tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

Cornelius said to Peter...

Act 10:33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear ALL THINGS that are COMMANDED THEE OF GOD.

What was commanded? Baptism?

Act 10:48 And he COMMANDED them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

I have to say I applaud him for his strength to be able to talk about his experience openly and gracefully. I can not judge him but pray that whatever his relationship is with the creator will be become stronger so he can handle what he needs to conquer in life. In the meantime, I say to continue to use your anointed gift to lift the spirits and spread the news about his wonderful grace.

Let us stand for the Truth, the Word of God, Christ Himself (John 1:1-3, 14). John said : May I decrease and He( Jesus Christ) increase. When we cofess that Jesus is Lord, we are saying that Jesus is our King and whatsoever He says goes, we are saying that is in authority over ourlives,So guys its nolonger about self, self has to die "die to self".Let us be crucified with him.Whats the point of salvation if we dont want to change and do the will of God.
Thank you guys, its good to know that there are still Christians who are still willing to do the will of God and they are zealous for the Kingdom of God.
Lets keep on praying for one another and pray for the gospel, the True Doctrine.
God Bless You

Hi Alan,

If I didn't see it, I would have a hard time believing it- people being deceived by the enemy himself through unholy evangelists! These counterfeit preachers are using God's sacred word for their gain. Their time is coming! I just pray that Christ comes back before more are deceived.

Alan,

I continue to be amazed at how similar in some ways our faith journeys have been. "Charismatic Chaos" was a book that was life-changing to me - Macarthur confirmed what I had started, in doubtful moments, to suspect myself but didn't have the courage to face. Hank Hanengraaf's "Counterfeit Revival" was another one.

For the longest time, I was afraid to read this stuff, but it brought me right back into the Bible and what it really says, as well as assured me being "intellectual" was not such a bad thing after all. If only more in the Church were more "intellectual" and discerning!

The sermons posted above are transcripts from his website; basically cover the same material as the book but in slightly more condensed form.

Thanks for posting this.
