After I gave you Holy Hip Hop heads a treat a few days ago, I thought that I would expose those secular rappers who are infiltrating the mind of society today, especially the young people. Christian rapper, Lavoisier, talks to some school kids about the rappers that they look up to and gets them thinking. Have a listen.

I grew up on Hip Hop and I loved it then and I love it now. There is a lot of Christian Hip Hop out there and as hard as it is to compete against secular rap, try and expose those same young people’s minds to Christian artists such as Jahaziel, M.O.D, Dwayne Tryumf, Jay Ess, Lecrae, Flame, Cross Movement, Lamp Mode, Da’ Truth, and the list goes on.

Even though it may not be your cup of tea, help to renew their mind

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2)

Well, all I have to say is this and I’m out. In the words of Jay-Z “It’s only entertainment.” If, people [christians] are gonna’ take shots at how wicked hip-hop music “can” be then “these” Christians better not be watchin’ anything that is unGodly. I’m serious dude. I’m tired of people not keepin’ it all the way real when it comes to tellin’ the truth.

Don’t stop at music but blast your way all the way through multi-media. It’s not just music but Hollywood and the people at the top of these media pyramids. Those are the “real” ones who needs to be attacked not these little worker bees. Naw, go fo’ the queen bees. If we [and I mean people as a whole] knew what the real deal is goin’ on. Trust me I know more than the average and the little bit I’ve been exposed to will make a ni99a wanna’ go back to sleep.

But in all this is great. It’s a start somewhere and it’s workin’. Every little bit helps but what causes people to fall back is when the full truth is not exposed and the holes in religious philosophy are exposed. And the poeple taught know somethin’ is missin’ but can’t figure it out therefore leavin’ them relyin’ on their own knowledge.

Nuncio78, surely you are not as naive to think that it is ‘only entertainment’. I am not against hip hop because in and of itself, I do not see anything wrong with it. Otherwise I would not have mentioned other artists. As I said, I love hip hop. But we are a product of our environment and young minds are shaped very easily by music. I have a 10 year old son and it is hard for me to allow him to enjoy music in the daytime (forget when he should be in bed) without him being exposed to music videos with booties showing nearly in every video. You are right it is not just about the area of music but as this is what this video is about, I have not talked about other areas of the media such as movies and games but I agree with you that those at the top know exactly what they are doing.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump. (Gal 5:9)

God has changed my standards not my tastes. That is why I like Flame, Da Truth and others from Cross Movement.

  4. Alan Higgins says:

I like that saying “God has changed my standards not my tastes”. Thanks

  5. TheDeeZone says:

Last year we got to see Flame, LaCrae, & others from Cross Movement in concert. The concert was great but the venue wasn’t so good.

I listened to Ice Cubes c.d. and I was very surprised to hear him speak of God on so many tracks. It was very inspirational to hear a mainstream secular rapper speak about spirituality. I think all rappers should re-evaluate their mission so that it applies to the climate the world is currently in…unfortunately, that will never happen!

There is an all out war going on in the “world” to deliberately attack our youth with as many negative influences as possible. These attacks are being initiated by the corporate & political elite who have been distributing funds to promote negative energy for centuries. Their purpose is to stray as many people (as possible) away from christianity. Satan rules the “world”,and many of the global elite are faithful followers!

The “world” needs to seriously “wake-up”and read between the lines (and the bible) because all of the signs of revelation are coming to pass…praise Christ/God, not Jay-z/Hov!

It dont matter if your saying Jesus 50 times in your song….Whether your a christian or not, at the end of the day, your lifestyle is what counts. Many people have a form of godliness but deny the power. If Im gonna rap about Jesus, 1st of all I have to be living it to know about it so I can rap about it. Then my goal isnt money nor fame but to save souls and not just crank wit a beat. Your appearance means alot as well………..In what ever you do, do it unto Jesus.

Amen! I totally agree. God is the unlimate judge! People who claim to be christians tearing down other christian groups shows an image to the world that even the church doens’t stand together. Therefore pushing away sinners. Let God show or teach hsi people who or what to listen to. Let God be the judge. If you dont like it, leave it alone!

I love this video, i also love to see people telling the youth the truth… it’s just too bad we can’t teach this stuff in school.

  9. Jose Gonzalez says:

I’m not down, with bringing that whole worldly hip hop demonic culture into the body of Christ. These are people who refuse to be changed, by the power of Jesus? They still want to be a part of hip hop and serve Jesus at the same time. One foot in the world and foot in the church. You can’t serve two masters! You can’t mix the holy with unholy!!

    • Alan Higgins says:

Jose what are you talking about? What makes hip hop unholy? In and of itself, you cannot say that in the same way in and of itself, the Internet is not unholy. However it can be used to glorify God or glorify Satan. If you do not like that genre fair enough but don’t throw away the baby with the bath water.

      • chris north says:

Couldnt have said it better myself. God will show his people what to listen to, he doenst need humans to criticize people or groups. That will push people away from God. certain music ministers to certain people.

  10. Jose Gonzalez says:

Go to sevin and hog mob exposed on YouTube!! Go to sevin commits spiritual fornication on YouTube!!

    • chris north says:

I love when people expose groups they find one song out of many to pick and then use that song as the basis for all there songs. Dont judge peoples intents. let God be the judge. If one group is bad it doen’t make all bad.

  11. chris north says:

I heard a preacher once say that there is no such thing as christian rap or rock. Im looked up to that preacher but i dont agree. Let’s say one of the worliest rappers, lil wayne, was to get saved. Do you expect him to now start listening to hymns and southern gospel music? No! If that is what you think they should do, you are the reason why the church of God loses so many people. Rap and Rock are what some people awere brought up on. So it is all they know. If they get saved i expect them to listen to gospel rap and rock. Now it all doesn’t minister to me or others but to someone else it may. don’t tear down people claiming to sing or rap for God because you dont think it is real or that it is secular and demonic. They could get saved thru that music, you know know. God is the ultimate judge. And if God is leading you then God will tel you what music is good and not and what artits are true and not. But please dont tear down groups or people in front of others. especially chritian groups. That shows the world that not even the church has god muisc. Just pray about it. Thanks!

I’ve noted that sum holy hiphop rappers are using masionic hand signs in their songs.as a matter of fact hiphop is a culture associated with whores & thugs hence it cant be used to honor God coz if they are trying to make hiphop holy can we say that its wrong if they will say ‘holy illuminati?’ coz they both belong to the darkside
