As per previous thread, I registered to be part of the Central London Outreach from 22-25 January organised by Operation 513 Europe and I told you that because of work commitments, I was unable to attend.

Operation 513 Central London Outreach

Well I was able to go yesterday evening in Leicester Square after all and what an evening it was. Josh Williamson and Robert Hughes stood on their soapbox (OK it was actually a chair), and pounded the gospel out. You had your normal drunkards and hecklers, but they just did our job for us and helped to draw the crowd. You could see that many people were listening intently to what was being expounded to them and the gospel presentation was very clear. I was very impressed with the way, Josh and Robert handled the objections and it definitely inspired me more to continue to study how to defend the faith which I am doing via The School of Biblical Evangelism.

Before, while and after the Open Air Preaching was going on, the rest of us were passing out tracts and speaking to people on a one to one. This is what the church should be all about. As one member said to me:

Most churches are waiting for the fish to jump into the boat instead of going out to catch the fish.

I have to totally agree with him.  Jesus said

Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19)

Go into all the world (not wait for all the world to come to you) and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)

Then there were people who would supress the truth in righteousness thus further proving that the bible is true when it says

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse (Romans 1:18-20)

Examples of this were with two separate atheists.

One totally believed in science, and she actually believed that if I dropped a lot of Ferrari parts off the top of a building, it would actually be possible that they could land and create a Ferrari car…….. and she wasnt joking.

Another atheist didnt believe in God creating the earth and actually believed that you could have a painting without a painter????

One ‘minister’ who was there wanted us to stop because we could be destroying the work that his church does. We were not in any way offensive in the way we delivered the message (even though the message in itself will always be offensive) but is was done in an organised way.

The highlight for me though was when two policeman came and I personally thought that they were going to tell us to stop and move on but they didnt. We found out at the end that they were there to keep an eye out on known pickpockets and said that we are what is needed in that area but more importantly, they were listening to the gospel and said we really gave them something to think about.

God is always faithful

I would like to thank David Gee and the rest of the team for allowing me to be a part of this

There is a world dying who need to know about Jesus Christ and how they can have their sins forgiven so lets not just stay in our comfortable churches and meetings but lets get out there and meet the world where they are at.

Please remember to pray for every person who heard the gospel last night
