Marjoe Gortner, self proclaimed false faith healer
Peter Popoff Exposed
I would like to again list some of the common objections that people have with my view and see if we can see them in the videos above. Lets build up a little check list
- People are getting ‘healed’ – CHECK
- People are experiencing ‘God’ – CHECK
- People are giving testimonies – CHECK
- People are coming to the altar for ‘God’ – CHECK
- Surely Satan is not going to glorify JESUS – CHECK. It looks like the people are above are glorifying Jesus
- Jesus said by their fruit you will know them – CHECK. On the face of it, it looks like people are drawing closer to God
- People are falling down under the power of God – CHECK
So if I go by the above statements and the common arguments that I hear, I should come to the conclusion that it must be from God right? But hold on….the videos above have proven that they are not from God because one was a self confessed fake and the other was found out, so what is the missing ingredient? How can we know? What exactly is the fruit that we should be looking for when Jesus says we will know them by their fruit? Mark Kielar touched on the answer in this video.
The missing ingredient is sound biblical doctrine. You will find false teachers will do and say many things contrary to scripture. This is the big give away but unfortunately, it is the very thing that most christians neglect to investigate. The Bible declares that the last days will be characterized by a GREAT deception. It will be so strong that if it were possible, even the elect would be deceived (Matthew 24:24). That gives you an idea on how strong this deception will be. The bible also makes it clear that many people who thought that they were christians will be surprised on that last day
Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (Matthew 7:22-33)
So my advice is as it always is. Be a Berean (Acts 17:11) and check everything out with scripture before you swallow any of the spiritual junk food that comes through your television screen or from a pulpit and understand some basic rules of biblical interpretation.
