I’m trying to sort myself out

This is just to advise that because of my burglary, and because my computer was stolen, my posts will be sparse until I sort myself out.

The Five Solas – Solus Christus (In Christ Alone)

Yep, my house was broken into Thursday. My computer was taken, my home cinema system, ipods, a little bit of money, my spare car keys, passport and worst of all my Nintendo Wii (meaning that I have to start all over agan with Super Mario Kart and Pro Evo. Do you know how long it took to build up my football (soccer) team?) 😉

I had forensics attend yesterday (I feel like this is CSI). But you know what. I am alive and surprisingly not that bothered. Some people think I am in shock. Maybe I am. Time will tell. The way I see it is that things could have been worse and I could have been attacked. I have had A LOT of problems with my neighbour upstairs and even (after many complaints to the council), knew it would only be a matter of time before it spilled over into my house.

I was looking to move anyway but this has just hastened things so I am asking that you pray that I can find an affordable place for me as swiftly as possible because understandably I do not want to stay where I am much longer. But in all things I still give God thanks.

Thanks in advance

Matthew 6:19-21
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also

The biggest problem with “Friendship Evangelism” is that so many people become friends, and then fail to realize the “evangelism” part.

But realistically, can we truly say we are someones friend if we never share the gospel with them? Friends don’t let friends go to hell.

I will let this sermon from John Macarthur speak for itself. Click here to listen/download. This is a must hear

After looking at the overwhelming evidence of the bible and the fact that Jesus actually existed and walked this earth we have to ask the question. Who was Jesus? He made some outstanding claims. We have to ask the question, was he a liar, a lunatic or is he truly Lord

If he is a liar, then let us eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die

If he is a lunatic, then let us eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die

But if he is truly Lord, then we better sit up and listen carefully to what he has to say.

CARM puts it like this

If Jesus is who He said He was, God in flesh, then whatever He says is authoritative and true. He said that He was the way the truth in the life and that nobody comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Right there we see that any other way, according to Jesus, is not true.

Christianity bases its truth and its doctrine on the word of God, the Bible. In the word of God, Jesus claims to be the only way. Since He performed many miracles, raised people from the dead, commanded a storm to be still and it obeyed, healed diseases, and rose from the dead Himself, then we are forced to face the reality of His words. Is what He said true or not? Either Jesus is a liar, a lunatic, or He is Lord. No one else in history, except Jesus, has fulfilled detailed prophecies, performed many miracles before eyewitnesses, and risen from the dead. Jesus is unique.

Those of us who are Christians, we have trusted what Christ has said. We believe in what He said and did. Like it or not, Jesus is the one who said He was the only way. It is not the Christians who are being “narrow-minded.” It is Jesus. Therefore, to say that other religions can be true means that Jesus is false. To say that there are other ways to God, also means that Jesus is false. This is what it comes down to. Either Jesus is who He said He was and what He said is true, or He is false. This is a choice you must make. To trust what He said or reject His words.

If we do reject his words, then there will be eternal consequences

Yes, its that time of the year where she has no shame in tricking people into giving their money with that old trick ‘the day of Atonment scam’. She had already mangled the biblical teaching of Christ’s atonement on the cross for our sins by turning it into a teaching about prosperity.

Bro Doug wrote this post about ‘When Christians want to be Jews’. I listened to the podcast and could not believe what I was hearing and how much scripture was twisted. Please listen/download this podcast. They blatantly made things up and made it out as if it was scripture. Listen out for ‘the book of blessings’

I have to wonder if she is just plain deceived or if she knows EXACTLY what she is doing.
