  1. I struggle with these issues but I cannot view videos. I politely ask that you post transcripts below for those who are unable to view the videos. Thank you.

Hi, I am actually doing some research aimed at educating myself and fellow Christians about sexual sins such as these and also the results of bringing these things into a married relationship. I read your post on the one on Masturbation. thank you for it. I also came across “christian” sites tho that are claiming it to be ok. Also they speak about certain acts that are conducted by prostitutes, fornicators and strip clubs etc..as acceptable even within marriage. I dont agree with the comments at all. But i wanted to Know your views if possible.

I hope its ok for me to put a link to the site.

I do hope you would be able to reply

Malishious_Intent, I’m afraid that I do not have the transcripts…and should I be worried about your name?

I cannot see how it is possible for a single person to masturbate and not have a sinful thought? While they are doing the act they must be thinking of something. I doubt they were thinking about a fotall match. Jesus said that if we look at a person with lust we are committing adultery and that would include fantasizing

  4. Dude says:

Alan, I believe it’s possible for someone to masturbate without having a sinful thought. You can delete this post if it is a tad graphic, but since the genitalia can be stimulated without thoughts of intercourse with another person, masturbation without sinful thoughts is possible. I’ve heard of people just choosing a time to do their business without going to porn or what not. It’s not even difficult to fathom.

    • The_Christian_Perspective says:

maybe i shud have placed this comment under the particular article which commented on the issue of masturbation, but since Dude has already replied here…the article tells describes how this is a “sexual act” and also he shows where it also perverse God’s original intent of sex…for one thing its “solo sex” as it was termed…that is not how it was intended to be…if it was so…God would not have created Eve…therefore we should not try to achieve the same orgasm that is to be left in the context of sexual intercourse in the context of MARRIAGE. This would only get you thinking about sex more rather supposedly help you stay away from fornication and it will pull you into other sexual sins and it would have you thinking about doing the act.

  5. Alan Higgins says:

But while they are doing ‘their business’, what is in their mind?

    • Dude says:

It can be many things. They can be thinking about things which can give one an erection that’s not necessarily sexual such as the taste of a really good piece of food or a really good song. It can be as basic as a blank white wall their mind while they’re eliminating their urge or they can be concentrating on what’s in their hand. The objects of the mind can be diverse.

      • Dude says:

I believe that a lot of the times, people are on the money about what one’s thinking about during the business so the generalization is easily made that the thoughts during it have to be necessarily dirty.

  6. Alan Higgins says:

I think The_Christian_Perspective in his last comment stated it correctly when he said ‘therefore we should not try to achieve the same orgasm that is to be left in the context of sexual intercourse in the context of MARRIAGE.’ One of the fruit of the spirit is self control and that is what the person should aim for?

  7. Marie says:

    Hi The_Christian_Perspective,

If you don’t mind, I’d like to weigh in on themarriagebed.com.

I’ve been there in the past (spent a good amount of time lurking, actually) so I know the very sight you’re talking about. I am trying to phrase this in such a way so as not to give specific “evidence”, but suffice to say that sight is NOT from God and does NOT NOT NOT promote a biblical view of sex, purity, or marriage (which should be pure).

I was shocked and appalled at what they were endorsing there – from the mechanical toys to the openly graphic and descriptive conversation threads on the message board between men and women. Describing what they did, how to give your wife o___ s__, etc. etc. It was pornographic, and cannot lead anyone anywhere but into sin. How they could coat that in a Christian veneer is beyond me.

Porn is never, ever okay. Recently, a Christian blogger cyber-friend of mine posted a great entry on why porn is wrong (it steals, kills and destroys) and even other professing Christians chewed her up over it: http://blog.ashleyweis.com/2009/07/gray-gray-world-where-porn-is-good.html

WHEN did Christians start calling what is evil, good??

Please stay away from marriage bed.com. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Talking about such intimate things should be only with one’s spouse.

  8. Ashley Weis says:

Alan, nice to see a man standing up against this stuff. Rare indeed!

  9. timmy J says:

Regarding earlier comment: there is NO way that someone can masturbate with no sexual thought. Stop making excuses.

  10. Alan Higgins says:

I agree with you Timmy. I cannot see how you can do it without some kind of sexual thought. Sin will always look for some kind of justification

  11. Paul says:

What sickens me most is the sites that are wrapping themselves in a veil of purity to promote adult toys to a Christian audience. Using Jesus to sell this crap infuriates me.

This article while some might find distasteful sheds some light on this growing industry of Christian sex toy sites.
