As per my previous post:

Now do we feed the poor, look after the homeless and help those who are in need? Of course we do. Jesus commanded this in Matthew 25:31-46. But that is NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do these things IN RESPONSE to the gospel. There are many people who carry out very good charitable work but they do not have their sins forgiven and as a result, will die in their sins.

  1. You made it exactly clear, Alan, that we are saved not by what we do, but solely through grace by faith. But, the manifestation of our salvation is that we will produce fruit in keeping with the commands of Christ. It is our response to the gospel of salvation of Christ in our life. Good works can’t get you to the door of heaven much less pay the price to get you in.
